With carbon taxes on the horizon, energy ratings have become a major factor in new build projects and the architect was determined to optimise the overall rating of the build.
The house is a traditional two storey Georgian design with an arched single front door. Glazed french doors and three arched feature windows will make the kitchen a light filled space. The impressive main living room incorporates a huge double doors/bay window.
To be allowed the opportunity to tender for this project any interested company had to prove the credentials of their sliding sash windows (more on sliding sash windows). Kingsbridge were able to meet all criteria to win the contract;
